GS International Conference on Computer Science 2014: Special Session on Wireless Networks in Control Systems Dubai, UAE 7-9 Nov 2014
In the past forty years, communication networks have been widely used in distributed control systems. More recently, wireless networks started to be introduced in industrial automation and process control. There are several advantages as well as limitations in using wireless networking in industrial control applications. The main benefits are associated with cost and flexibility in general, whereas the main concerns are security and reliability, followed by the fact that there is little knowledge available and few industrial applications.
TOPICS This special session is a multi-disciplinary session which involves the fields of communication and industrial control. The aim is to bring together researchers and practitioners to discuss the state-of-the art in the use of wireless network in industrial control systems. Papers should focus on the latest research developments to overcome the strict real-time and reliability requirements imposed by industrial control systems as well as the successful real-world deployment of wireless control in industries.
SUBMISSION Submission of manuscript for this special session implies that the manuscript has not been published previously, and is not currently submitted for publication elsewhere. In brief, manuscripts should be written in English, prepared in pdf format, font type: Times New Roman size 10, single-spaced and two-column format. All the papers should ideally not exceed 15,000 words (15 pages) in length. Submissions must include the following elements: title, authors, affiliations, contacts, abstract, index terms, introduction, main text, conclusions, appendixes, acknowledgement, references, and biographies. All papers will undergo the same review process (two completed reviews per paper). Accepted special session papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
