MIT Portugal Program is an international partnership involving MIT, universities and industry in Portugal. The goal of the initiative is to develop world class education and research programs in the emerging field of engineering systems.

All courses are given by consortia of Portuguese universities with lecturing by MIT faculty. For students with an international outlook seeking to develop a systems approach to their research and career development, these programs offer a special opportunity to engage with the best that MIT and Portugal have to offer.
Within the framework of the MIT Portugal Program, Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) launches the call for Doctoral Scholarships in the above mentioned fields of research. These scholarships are available to candidates holding a master degree or equivalent in the areas targeted by the MIT Portugal program.
