The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) will organize to the 7th International CDIO Conference 2011 in Denmark.
The four-day program emphasizes the leading role played in curriculum reform by engineering educators from all around the world.
Martin Vigild, Dean of Undergraduate, explains that “one of our main aims for CDIO 2011 is to bring together the key stakeholders in engineering education – bridging the gap and covering the spectrum from educational research to the needs of industry”.
The CDIO™ INITIATIVE is an innovative educational framework for producing the next generation of engineers. The framework provides students with an education stressing engineering fundamentals set in the context of Conceiving — Designing — Implementing — Operating real-world systems and products.
With more than 50 collaborating institutions in over 25 countries worldwide, the CDIO Initiative is expanding constantly, with its 12 standards and comprehensive syllabus becoming integral parts of these institutions educational process.
